The Orlando Rum Runners topped the Newark Falcons, 4-2, in Appalachian action at Falcons Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Orlando pitcher Chris Clark. Orlando goes to 3-2.

Orlando used the timely hitting of Scott Bennett to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rum Runners ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Orlando manager Brett Jackson.
