Burns Hits Two Homers in 6-3 Win for Cape Canaveral
The Cape Canaveral Launch topped the Keg Creek Coyotes by the score of 6-3, with the largest share of the credit going to shortstop Derek Burns. Burns went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Launch. Felipe Delgado got the win, improving to 2-0. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 8 and walking 5. Colter Harrison finished the game for Cape Canaveral and earned his 1st save.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when Burns, who finished 2nd in the AP in runs with 97 last year, hit a 3-run home run. It propelled the Launch into the lead, 3-0.

Burns attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
