The Philadelphia Cheesesteaks topped the Amarillo Chicken Haulers by a score of 9-3. Leading the way was shortstop Carl Anderson. Anderson went 4-5 with a triple and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Cheesesteaks. Leonard Johnston, the winner, goes to 4-3. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts over 5 innings. Jorge Yánez earned his 3rd save, after closing out the game.
Philadelphia grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Anderson hit a 2-run triple off Tim Reynolds. His 3rd triple of the season put the Cheesesteaks out in front, 4-2.
