McKames, Reading Open Wild Card Round Strong with 8-2 Win
The Reading Railbirds powered past the visiting Mexico City Diablos, 8-2, in the opener of the Round 1 at Schuylkill Landing Park. Reading starting pitcher Dax McKames threw 6.0 innings allowing 2 runs, to lead the charge. The Railbirds now lead the series 1-0.

Jorge Flores hit a 2-run double off Miguel Torres in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Railbirds in front, 4-2. In addition to the double, Flores had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

"Dax is a tough competitor," said Reading manager Slam Dunks.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Corona Field in Mexico City.
