|
The Philadelphia Cheesesteaks started the Round 2 in style today, downing the visiting Reading Railbirds at William Penn Park by a score of 5-2 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Cheesesteaks right-hander Tomás Quintero threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball.
Quintero, a native of Cotuí, Dominican Republic, was dealing all game. He kept Reading hitters off-balance, while giving the Cheesesteaks 7 quality innings. Quintero threw 94 pitches, allowing 5 hits and striking out 10.
