Jail Break, Railbirds Play 14 to Settle Game 2, Alcatraz Island Now Leads Series 2-0
Behind the big arm of right-hander Chris Mitchell, the Alcatraz Island Jail Break have opened up a healthy early lead in the Round 3. The Jail Break topped the Reading Railbirds 1-0 at The Rock today in Game 2, and now hold a 2-0 edge in the best-of-7 series. Mitchell threw 7.2 innings of shutout ball to power Alcatraz Island to victory.

Alcatraz Island won the game in the bottom of the 14th inning. With no outs and Adrián Jiménez on the mound for Reading, catcher Dave Carson hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Jail Break fans to their feet.

"Bottom line," said Reading skipper Slam Dunks, "we didn't play well enough to win."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Rock in San Francisco.
