The Orlando Rum Runners racked up a win at Krono Field, bumping off the Death Valley Burn, 4-3. José Cuin, who started for Orlando, pitched effectively for his team. Orlando reliever Gerald Martin picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Chris Blackwell took the loss. Orlando has now reeled off 7 straight wins.

Orlando shortstop Manuel Ortíz contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a curveball into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 63rd hit of the season and put the Rum Runners ahead, 3-2.
