Alcatraz Island Win to Pull Even With Laredo
The Alcatraz Island Jail Break defeated the Laredo Border Jumpers, 8-4 in Game 4 of the Round 2 today. Making an impact was second baseman Manny Flores, who was 3 for 3 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win moves Alcatraz Island into a 2-2 tie with Laredo in the series.

Alcatraz Island used the timely hitting of Guillermo García to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Jail Break on top, 7-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I believe in our guys," said Alcatraz Island skipper Justin Fusco. "I like the energy they're playing with."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at BackWet Stadium in Laredo.
