Reading Grabs 2-0 Lead in League Championship Series
With left fielder Austin Howard leading the charge, the Reading Railbirds got past the Alcatraz Island Jail Break, 7-4, in extra innings in Game 2 of the Round 3 today. Howard was 5 for 6 with a double and 4 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 at The Rock as Reading managed to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Howard's nice game included a clutch 2-run double in the top of the 13th.

"Our guys refused to lose," said Howard.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Rock in San Francisco.
