Monuments Top High Tide, 8-3, to Begin League Divisional Series

The Washington Monuments wasted no time taking the lead in the Round 2, beating the Honolulu High Tide at Champagne of Beers Field by the score of 8-3. The win gives Washington a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Monuments left-hander Arturo Báez threw 8.1 innings of 4-hit ball.
In his 103-pitch effort, Báez allowed 1 run on 4 hits over 8.1 innings. He walked 2 and struck out 6.
"I was able to fill up the zone," said Báez.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Champagne of Beers Field in Honolulu.
