Almost There: Cape Canaveral On Cusp of League Divisional Series Triumph After 6-5 Win
The Cape Canaveral Launch moved to within one game of the Round 3 today, downing the West Island Storm on the road at Hot Box by a score of 6-5. Launch left-hander Michael Erickson had a strong outing. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The win gives the Launch a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Round 2.

Cape Canaveral used the timely hitting of Nate English to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Launch on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We don't have much margin for error now," Storm manager said. "We need to figure out the problem and fix it, immediately."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Wednesday, October 15th , 2070.
