The Reading Railbirds got a great start from 34-year-old right-hander Carlos Caro, as Reading won the contest, 4-2, at Schuylkill Landing Park. Caro threw 5.1 innings allowing 1 run in the win, which allowed the Reading to grab a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

William Cole helped out the Reading cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 3.

Michigan manager said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Schuylkill Landing Park in Reading.
