In a low-scoring game between the Reading Railbirds and the Iowa Crop Circles, pitcher Connor Kelloway was the difference-maker. The Reading right-hander was tough as nails in the 2-1 Railbirds win. Chance Haley snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-1 on the season. Clyde Barfoot suffered the loss. Reading goes to 5-3 with the win.

Had Juan Hernández not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Hernández hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Railbirds.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Hernández.
