Ridge Raptors Go Down to Defeat, 3-1
|
Elvin Lawson could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Redstone Ridge Raptors lost, dropping a 3-1 decision to the Minneapolis Maulers at MacLaren Stadium. The last-place Maulers are now 30-36, the Ridge Raptors 31-35.
The Maulers got a big at-bat from left fielder Leslie Parkinson. For the game, Parkinson went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Minneapolis a 3-0 lead.
Parkinson called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
