In a low-scoring clash between San Jose and Glacier Bay, pitcher Arturo Cuevas was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 win. San Jose bumps their record to 33-35 with the win.
San Jose used a clutch hit from Rudolph Johnston to get the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cuervo ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Cuevas.
