Orlando got a decent performance from pitcher Paul Williams, but it wasn't enough to beat the Honolulu High Tide. Honolulu won the Krono Field contest, 5-3. Williams threw 6.1 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. Bobby Carey came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-2. Honolulu is now 29-41, Orlando 44-26.

Donovan Shepard, the 2058 Diamond Hammer Award winner , had a direct impact on the outcome. Shepard contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Honolulu up, 4-3.

Shepard told a Honolulu Daily News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
