The Michigan Militia took Vermont pitcher Hoyt Murphy's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Assembly Line Grounds. The final score had Michigan getting past the Lake Monsters, 6-5. Murphy went 8 innings and allowed 4 runs, striking out 5. The win belongs to Clint Kimball in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Iván Ruíz took the loss for Vermont. Tony Quintana was the walk-off hero for Michigan. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Militia shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
