The Crab Apple Cove Mashers and Reading Railbirds were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Reading Railbirds picked up a win at Vargas Field, taking down the Crab Apple Cove Mashers, 7-2. Starting pitcher José Féliz was a big reason why. With the victory, the Railbirds upped their record to 38-31.

Máximo Alemán, the 33-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Alemán contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth inning to put Reading up, 4-1.

"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Alemán.
