High Tide Stumble, Lose to Maulers
The Minneapolis Maulers topped the Honolulu High Tide, 10-4, with catcher Bart Matthews playing a big role. Matthews went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Maulers in the win. Minneapolis goes to 5-3 with the win.

Mysterious Walker had a big bases-clearing double for the Maulers in the bottom of the seventh inning. With Minneapolis leading 6-3 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from 30-year old left-handed pitcher Ángel García and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Maulers ahead, 9-3.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Walker said in reaction to the win.
