Big Day for Baine in 10-7 Coyotes Win
|
The Keg Creek Coyotes defeated the Amarillo Chicken Haulers, 10-7, at Coyote Den Stadium. Keg Creek was led by 24-year old left fielder Cary Baine, who went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Gerald Casey, who finished 5th in the AP in innings pitched with 238.1 in 2069, was the winner. He's now 1-0. The loser was Alfredo Villarreal. The win gives Keg Creek a record of 4-4.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Baine hit a run-scoring single off Alfredo Villarreal. It propelled the Coyotes into the lead, 3-2.
"Good win," said Baine. "Maybe some of the whiners in the clubhouse will pipe down for a little while now."
