Orlando Rum Runners starter Jerry Daniels turned in an exceptional performance against the Vermont Lake Monsters at Krono Field, resulting in a Orlando win, 3-2. The winning pitcher was Daniels, now 5-3. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 9. Orlando now has a record of 36-36 with the win.

Orlando took a 3-2 lead on Manuel Morales's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which Morales hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Vermont pitcher Carlos Delgado visibly frustrated.
