Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Costa Monday, August 26th , 2069 Manuel Costa of the Amarillo Chicken Haulers has now hit safely in 20 straight games. He socked 2 hits in today's 10-8 triumph over Honolulu at Champagne of Beers Field. "20 games is a big chunk of the year, isn't it?" Costa said to reporters. "It's hard to wrap your head around." Manuel Costa struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, was hit by a pitch in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Roberto Serrano in the 8th. So far this year Costa has hit .266 with 14 home runs, 57 RBIs and 50 runs scored. |
