More Injury Problems for Glacier Bay's Gordon Smith Thursday, December 17th , 2076 The Glacier Bay Ice Pirates announced today that Gordon Smith would be missing for longer than expected as the 25-year-old first baseman recovers from a torn meniscus. "Gordon had been working out with the team recently, but felt some discomfort yesterday," the Ice Pirates GM explained to the press. "After re-examining the injury, the team's medical staff decided that Smith would need extra time to heal. Their estimate is one week more recovery time." Smith has a career .289 batting average with a .335 OBP. He has hit 34 homers, driven in 167 runs and scored 160 runs since he came into the league. |
