Standout Season For Barras, Wins AP Diamond Hammer Award
Thursday, November 19th , 2065
The manager of the Washington Monuments said he thinks Kurt Barras is only going to get better as he gets older.

He may only be 24, but it will be hard to top the shortstop's 2065 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Appalachian Diamond Hammer Award.

His winning campaign featured a .329 batting average and a .386 on-base percentage this year. In 156 games he piled up 207 hits, 27 doubles, 5 triples, 27 home runs, 97 RBIs and 125 runs scored.

He received 13 first place votes out of a possible 28. Scot Potter of the Washington Monuments finished second in voting with 8 first place votes, while Graham McCoy of the Vermont Lake Monsters finished third with 3 first place votes.
