Baird Goes Downtown 3 Times Against Crop Circles
Monday, April 11th , 2072
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Victor Baird did at Welsh Field, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 8-5.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Baird said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
The San Jose Cuervo left fielder blistered the Iowa Crop Circles for 3 hits, batted in 7 runs and scored 3 times.
"It ain't like we weren't trying," Iowa manager Andy Ward said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."
Victor Baird struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Luis Santiago Jr. in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Luis Santiago Jr. in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Manuel Aguilar in the 7th.
On the year, Baird has hit .208 with 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 4 runs.
