Alcatraz Island Swaps Phillips to West Island for Cook Friday, March 19th, 2055 It came down to the last hour of a self-imposed trade deadline, but the Alcatraz Island Jail Break and West Island Storm finally came to an agreement on a trade that had been rumored for weeks. The trade sends Alcatraz Island's 32-year-old LHP Luis Pérez and 26-year-old minor league LHP Cody Phillips to West Island in a swap for 36-year-old RHP Oscar Cook and a 3rd round draft pick. Both GMs seemed relieved that the deal had been completed with one stating, "We had to set a deadline to get it done." The players are expected to report to their new teams by tomorrow. In his career Cook has appeared in 792 games and captured 266 saves. He has 65 wins and 41 losses and a 3.39 ERA with 1115 strikeouts in 894.1 innings. |
