Carson Finally Fails, Streak Ends at 20 Monday, April 28th, 2059 Wiley Carson's 20-game hitting streak was snapped today at Krono Field. The 26-year-old Vermont Lake Monsters first baseman failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats in the game against the Orlando Rum Runners, but Vermont came out the winner, 7-1. "I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to Wiley," Lake Monsters manager Kevin Tucker said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames." For the year Carson is hitting .552 with 4 home runs. His stats include 14 runs batted in and 22 runs scored. |
