5-Hit Game for Oakes Sunday, May 11th, 2059 It seemed that Glacier Bay center fielder Clement Oakes could do no wrong as the Ice Pirates KO'd the Coyotes, 8-5 today. Oakes rapped out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Coyotes hurlers were throwing. "I think the Ice Pirates were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Keg Creek fan after the game. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Oakes in the postgame press interview. Clement Oakes doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, flied out in the 7th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI triple in the 9th.
