Wright's Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Wednesday, May 14th, 2059 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Vic Wright did it again, bashing 2 hits in the contest at Welsh Field today. For the last 20 games in a row, the 29-year-old center fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Alcatraz Island Jail Break beat the San Jose Cuervo 12-6 today. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Wright told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Alcatraz Island clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Vic Wright walked in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. This season Wright is batting .349 with 44 hits, no home runs, 13 RBIs, 12 walks, .411 OBP and has scored 20 runs. He has played in 36 games. |
