Delgado Goes on Rampage Against Diablos
Tuesday, April 23rd , 2075
Máximo Delgado got the glory and the headlines, but the Mexico City Diablos left with the win. The Redstone right fielder easily handled the Diablos pitching, going 5-for-7, but his Redstone Ridge Raptors came out on the short end of the 9-4 score.
Delgado told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win.
"Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end."
Máximo Delgado hit an RBI single in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th, flied out in the 9th, singled in the 12th and singled in the 13th.
In 15 games Delgado is hitting .386 this season with 22 hits, 1 home run, 15 RBIs, 6 walks, .439 OBP and has scored 8 runs.
