Laredo-Boston Brawl, Smith and Taing Suspended Monday, May 31st, 2055 After an intense confrontation, both the Border Jumpers Adam Smith and the Revolution William Taing were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Laredo-Boston game. Adam Smith will miss 4 games, while William Taing was suspended for 2 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Adam Smith commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This season Smith is swinging the bat at a .293 pace. He has hit 13 home runs and scored 28 times, while driving in 20.
