Newark Reliever López Will Retire Saturday, May 4th , 2075 Cristo López of the Newark Falcons announced his retirement from Pioneers of the Diamond today. The 36-year-old veteran told reporters that he has enjoyed his time playing ball, but that it is time for someone else to have a shot. "It's a young man's game," López said, "and I'm not a young man anymore." Over his career López has a 2-3 won-lost record with a 6.51 ERA. In 21 games he has recorded no saves, and the 36-year-old has fanned 34 batters in 55.1 innings. |
