AP Star of the Week Named Monday, June 19th , 2073 23-year-old Juan Rosas sent shock waves through Pioneers of the Diamond last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Appalachian Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Rosas made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .478 average, 11 hits in 23 at-bats, 1 home run and 10 RBI. Where the Honolulu High Tide left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Rosas certainly made his mark last week. At present, Rosas is batting .303 with 59 hits and 4 home runs. He has knocked in 37 runs and scored 36 times. |
