Oakes's Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Friday, April 28th, 2056 Glacier Bay lost to the Redstone Ridge Raptors 13-3 at The Raptor's Nest today, but Clement Oakes kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 2 hits. The Ice Pirates center fielder has now delivered hits in 20 straight games. "Clement has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Glacier Bay manager Matt Lehrer told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Clement Oakes hit an RBI double in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. To date, Oakes has collected 42 hits for a .462 average. He has posted no home runs, scored 20 runs and driven in 15 runs. |
