Reeves Collects Cycle
Wednesday, May 11th , 2072
At Trump Stadium, Howard Reeves led Washington to a win, 13-6, over the Atlantic City Aces by hitting for the cycle, one of baseball's more difficult feats.
"Usually the triple is the hardest one to get, but I was most worried about the homer today because the ball wasn't carrying," Reeves said later. "When I took it deep, I was expecting the ball to die on the warning track, so it was sweet seeing the ump give me the signal to circle the bases."
In addition to going 4-for-5, Reeves chalked up 6 runs batted in and scored 4 runs in an exceptional performance.
Howard Reeves singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Paco Cruz in the 8th.
So far this season, Reeves has recorded a .310 batting average with 36 hits, 1 home run, 19 RBIs, 12 runs scored and a .341 OBP.
