Season Possibly Over for Tomás García
Friday, May 13th , 2072
The doctors have spoken and Tomás García of the San Jose Cuervo didn't like what he heard. The 35-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. García sustained his season-ending injury during the Glacier Bay Ice Pirates game yesterday at Welsh Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the San Jose medical staff reported García had a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7-8 months.
This season, García has logged no saves. He has thrown 15.1 innings, dished out 10 strikeouts and walked 9 while putting up a 0-0 mark and a 7.04 ERA.
