Hitting Streak Still Alive for Rosa
Tuesday, July 2nd, 2052
Boston's 25-year-old third baseman Salvador Rosa has had a fine run at the plate over the last few weeks. His consecutive-game hitting streak has reached 35 games now. Today Rosa extended the streak by going 1-for-4 against Cheesesteaks pitching. The streak has brought him a degree of attention that he has tried to deflect. Rosa always prefers to talk about his teammates' accomplishments rather than his own. After the Revolution 2-1 triumph over Philadelphia at Jackie Robinson Place he downplayed his part in the victory.
Salvador Rosa grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and singled in the 8th.

For the season Rosa has produced 118 hits in 324 at-bats for a .364 average with 3 home runs and gotten on base at a .412 clip.
