Hitting Streak Still Alive for Thomas Sunday, May 13th , 2068 Derrick Thomas of the San Jose Cuervo extended his hitting streak to 20 straight games with 1 hit in today's 3-2 triumph over the Keg Creek Coyotes at Coyote Den Stadium. "Derrick has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Cuervo manager Brandon Kirk joked after the game. Derrick Thomas grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and flied out in the 8th. So far this year in 30 games Thomas is hitting .270 with 2 home runs, 17 RBIs and 12 runs scored. |
