Landry Collects Hit Number 2000
Tuesday, April 15th , 2064
The day belonged to Chris Landry of the Minneapolis Maulers as he became the latest player to reach the 2000-hit plateau. He did it in Minneapolis's 9-2 win over Keg Creek.
"It's a moment I'll never forget," said Landry after the game. "2000 hits is a lot. It puts you in a very select group. I never expected to be around long enough to reach a milestone like this."
He finished the day with 3 hits in 3 at-bats.
His numbers show Landry is carrying a .305 lifetime batting average with 484 home runs and 1299 RBIs.
