Launch Colón Smacks 5 Hits Thursday, May 28th , 2076 After his 5-hit effort at Launch Pad was tarnished by Cape Canaveral's 10-8 loss to the Honolulu High Tide, center fielder Tony Colón told BNN beat writers it was "a missed opportunity for a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "I would have been happy to stop there if it meant we got a win." He didn't get the win, but the 25-year-old had a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the High Tide. "His swing is getting there," said Launch skipper Mike Best after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Tony did that to perfection and we wasted it." Tony Colón singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Chris Mitchell in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Chong-xian Chua in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. So far this season, Colón is batting .286 with 6 home runs, 26 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 46 hits in 161 at-bats, 20 walks and a .376 OBP. Colón has played in 48 games.
