Railbirds Rick Johnston Sidelined Tuesday, June 16th, 2048 The Reading Railbirds were dealt a severe blow when Rick Johnston was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Cape Canaveral Launch. After the game, the team trainer reported Johnston might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 29-year-old reliever out for the rest of the season with a torn rotator cuff. They indicated it would take Johnston at least 12 months to heal.
