Pierce Collects Player of the Week Award Monday, August 1st, 2044 It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Josh Pierce, the Washington Monuments 23-year-old center fielder, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Appalachian Player of the Week honors. He ripped 14 hits in 25 at-bats, compiling a .560 average with 2 home runs and 7 RBIs. This season Pierce has banged out 128 hits in 413 at-bats for a .310 average with 7 home runs. He is getting on base at a .364 pace and his totals also include 50 RBIs and 65 runs scored. |
