Ozark Starter Named AP's #1 Pitcher Thursday, July 1st, 2060 Arthur Miller nailed down June's Appalachian Pitcher of the Month award today, adding pressure on Ozark to get a deal done before the 35-year-old becomes a free agent. Miller seems unfazed by the talk. "We get a deal done or we don't," he told reporters, "I'm not worrying about next year. Worrying about next year isn't what wins awards, you know?" He fashioned a 4-1 record, reeled off 29 strikeouts, worked 38.1 innings and held batters to a .252 average for the month as he posted a 2.11 ERA. Checking out his stats for the season, Miller has notched 7 wins and 4 losses in 16 starts, 3.54 ERA and struck out 75 batters in 94 innings. |
