Webb Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Sunday, June 30th, 2058 Brent Webb of the Amarillo Chicken Haulers has now hit safely in 20 straight games. He socked 2 hits in today's 7-0 triumph over Orlando at The Chicken Coop. "20 games is a big chunk of the year, isn't it?" Webb said to reporters. "It's hard to wrap your head around." Brent Webb singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, walked in a run in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. This year Webb has socked 95 hits in 283 at-bats for a .336 average with 23 home runs. He is getting on base at a .392 pace and his totals also include 64 RBIs and 53 runs scored. |
