San Jose-Crab Apple Cove Brawl, Boyd and Ritchie Suspended Saturday, July 3rd, 2060 Ed Boyd of the San Jose Cuervo and Joshua Ritchie of the Crab Apple Cove Mashers will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 5 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Cuervo-Mashers game at Welsh Field. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Boyd and Ritchie will begin serving them soon. Thus far this year Boyd has hit .169 with 6 home runs and 16 RBIs. So far this year Ritchie has made 14 starts, tossed 60 innings, struck out 34 batters and walked 23. His record is 1-10 with a 7.65 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .351 batting average. |
