Wilson Batters Vermont Big Time
Wednesday, July 3rd, 2058
There are moments in a player's career that they will not soon forget.
David Wilson of the Keg Creek Coyotes had one such moment at Coyote Den Stadium today, when he went 5 for 5 at the plate. His hitting heroics weren't enough to pull out the victory, however, and Keg Creek fell to a 10-8 defeat to the Vermont Emperor Penguins.
"This was quite a day for me individually, but a little disheartening at the same time," the 28-year-old right fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "It would have been very special if we had won the game."
David Wilson hit a solo-shot off Morris Palmer in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
Currently Wilson is hitting .358 and has collected 6 home runs, 36 RBIs and scored 55 times, while playing in 75 games.
