Acevedo 5-for-6 Against Rum Runners Thursday, May 23rd , 2075 It was a high-five day for José Acevedo, at least for a while. The Michigan first baseman got plenty of them from his teammates when he reached the five-hit milestone during today's game against the Orlando Rum Runners, but they were in short supply at the end, as Orlando won the game, 10-8. Acevedo finished with an impressive 5-for-6 line, but the Militia couldn't hold off the Rum Runners. "José was hitting everything," said Militia manager Henry Lehrer. "It's too bad the other guys couldn't rise to the occasion." José Acevedo singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 8th, hit an RBI double in the 9th, walked in the 10th and tripled in the 12th.
