Iowa Defeats Reading 6-5, Miller Nabs 800th Save
Tuesday, June 29th, 2055
Success in close games can separate the good teams from the great teams, and a great bullpen specialist is a big part of that success.
Kelvin Miller of the Iowa Crop Circles today solidified his position as one of the great relievers in the game by recording the 800th save of his career against the Reading Railbirds.
Miller reached the milestone in closing out the 6-5 Crop Circles win at The Cornfield. The 42-year-old hurler worked 1 innings and gave up no runs and 2 hits in his historic save.
Miller has put up a career 2.19 ERA and has 800 saves to his credit. He has crafted a 116-93 won-lost mark with 1951 strikeouts.
