Aces Esparza and Storm West Suspended for Fight Saturday, July 26th, 2059 After an intense confrontation, both the Aces José Esparza and the Storm Jeffrey West were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Atlantic City-West Island game. José Esparza will miss 4 games, while Jeffrey West was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," José Esparza commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Esparza is currently hitting at a .219 pace with 9 home runs and 26 RBIs. To date West is 4-2 in 2 starts with a 3.86 ERA and has 75 strikeouts in 56 innings. |
