Great Day for Barr -- 5 Hits Monday, July 5th , 2077 It was a good day at Battle Field. The Richmond Ravens whipped the Amarillo Chicken Haulers, 5-4, and second baseman David Barr showed off a hot bat, going 5-for-7 at the plate. "Some days, lady luck is on your side," Barr told BNN reporters after the game. Ravens manager Jason Cary told the beat writers otherwise, calling the 29-year-old "focused and patient." "It's not luck," he said. "He has a solid approach to hitting. David hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have." David Barr singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, flied out in the 9th, struck out in the 11th and singled in the 13th. So far this season, Barr is batting .313 with 2 home runs, 30 RBIs and 34 runs scored. He has 93 hits in 297 at-bats, 13 walks and a .346 OBP. Barr has played in 76 games.
