Velásquez Slaps 5 Hits Thursday, June 14th, 2063 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for José Velásquez today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Casket County Stadium and paced the Coyotes to a 13-4 win over the St. Paul Bearers. After his dynamite batting performance, the Keg Creek center fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. José Velásquez singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, was hit by a pitch in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
